Brent and Julie

As a coordinator, I mostly only get to see couples on one of the happiest days of their relationship. I don't get to see their relationship blossom and grow over the years or how they interact with each other outside of the gown and tuxedo.

Brent and Julie got married in the Magnolia Chapel on Saturday the 29th at 2PM. Julie wore a short white dress and Brent in a very classic suit. They were so adorable and playful together and super in love and I was so excited when I ran into them the last night of their honeymoon. On Sunday nights at the Mandalay Bay, there is a house band called The Limit and they play fantastic old and new music. My friend and I were there when the lead singer says "We've got to play a request for the newlyweds over here!" And then I see Brent and Julie running over to the dance floor as the band starts playing the opening notes to "Sweet Child O Mine" by Guns N Roses. They danced close and smooched during the song, they were so sweet to each other and looked like they were having the time of their lives. When the song was over and they made their way back to their table, I had to go over and say hi. I told them it's really good to see couples outside of the chapel not on their wedding day and to see how in love they are from day to day. I congratulated them again and we said goodnight.

Seeing Brent and Julie totally made my night and once again made me love what I do working at Chapel of the Flowers.

New Year's Wedding on 1/1/11

Javier and Elsa were one of the many couples who decided to start the year off right and get married! Not only was it New Years Day but it was also 1/1/11! What an incredible combination for a wedding day!!

Javier and Elsa not only chose the perfect day to get married, but traveled all the way from Andalusia, Spain to do it.

To make the day even more amazing this couple had Elvis sing and marry them!! Javier and Elsa danced down the aisle to "All Shook Up", lit their unity candle to "Love Me Tender" and left the building to "Burning Love"! I very much enjoyed being a part of this couple's fun-filled wedding day!!

Brad and Tiffany

Brad and Tiffany had an amazing wedding this past Saturday on 12/11/10. It couldn't have been more perfect. They had a memorable date and had custom designed the chapel to exactly how they wanted it.

I was excited to coordinate this wedding because I got to take out all of the floral decorations that are normally in our LaCapella chapel because Tiffany had custom ordered pew markers, beautiful single sunflower arrangements with holly green ribbon to be placed on the end of each pew. She also custom ordered a beautiful sunflower floral spray to be displayed as the centerpiece. Our ladies in floral did an amazing job putting the arrangements together. We also placed pillar candles on the sides of the chapel with holly green ribbon wrapped around the candles.

They had sunflower boutonnieres for all the gentleman, 2 sunflower bouquets for the bridesmaids, and a gorgeous full sunflower bouquet for the bride.

Tiffany looked beautiful as she lined up next to her mother and father to walk down the aisle. She started to cry a little bit and said she keeps trying to remember funny movie quotes so that she wouldn't cry. They had a guitarist play Canon in D for the bridal party to walk into and the Bridal March for Tiffany and her parents.

The ceremony was beautiful, many tears were shed and smiles were had, and lots of years to look forward to. Congratulations to both of you and thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Getting Married!

I can't imagine anyone wanting to give up an entire day of cooking just so they could go get married. (insert sarcasm here)

But that's exactly what Kenneth and Stephanie did along with 7 other couples on Thanksgiving day this year.

Kenneth and Stephanie came to Vegas, just the two of them, to get married on this very special holiday. Thanksgiving is such a great day to get married on because what could you be more thankful for, than for someone to commit their life to yours, for better or worse. Thanksgiving is all about gratitude and really reflecting on the good things you have in your life to be thankful for.

Congratulations to all our couples who got married on this day.

Pure

Chris and Aliesha were wed at Chapel of the Flowers on November 23, 2010. They came in glowing, smiling, laughing, and could not stop kissing. The love they have for each other just sparkled in their eyes.

Chris and Aliesha met here in Las Vegas at Pure Nightclub. It would only make sense for them to come to Vegas and be married in the town where they met. They brought along a few family and friends. Aliesha had two of her family members walk her down the isle while Chris waited. When I closed the chapel doors behind Aliesha I could see Chris and how happy he was.

The best part of the whole ceremony is what they wore. There outfits is what they wore the night they met. I thought it was a great touch! Aliesha looked stunning in her red cocktail dress and Chris looked handsome in his button down shirt and slacks.

Thank you Chris and Aliesha for letting me part of your special day. I wish you the best and many years of happiness! You two truly know the meaning of love.

There's A First For Everything

Trond and Nicola Sorensen were so in love! I was privileged to be their wedding coordinator. They were so kind even though it was my first time coordinating a wedding! As I was putting the boutinierre on the groom, he said, "I have faith in you, Marci!" I said, "Well, at least someone does while I have a pin and flower in my hands!" Luckily, I didn't end up poking him. :)

Their wedding was a success! I wish Trond and Nicola many years of happiness and joy together. Thank you for letting me be your coordinator and being my first couple to coordinate for.

Inspirational Bride

On November 12, 2010 Laura and Peter got married in our Victorian Chapel. Laura was such an inspiration to all of us that worked that day. I wanted to share her special day, in the hopes, that she inspires you!

Laura looked beautiful on her wedding day.
Her dress was perfect! It was strapless with a a long train.
I knew that she wanted to show off that gorgeous gown to her friends and family that were watching.

I asked Laura if she was going to be in her wheelchair during the ceremony. She said that her friend was going to walk her down and that she would like to stand the whole time. I thought that was amazing!

When it was time to get married Laura stood up, held on to her friend, and walked down that isle with such grace and class.

I closed the chapel doors behind her and my eyes started to fill with tears...

As the ceremony ended I opened the chapel doors and my eyes started to fill up again with tears. Her wonderful husband, Peter, carried her up the isle as they were pronounced husband and wife!

Congratulations Laura and Peter!
It was truly an honor to be part of your special day.
