January Photo of the Month

Congratulations to one of our brand new Photographers Emil Rajkowski for winning January Photo of the Month!
Gary & Rachel Newland from Suffolk, England told us that they had a blast with their photo shoot! They said that Sam and Emil were just a delight to work with. Sam Zelaya was the primary photographer and Emil was the second shooter.
When you purchase a "life-style photographer" package with your wedding you too can have amazing priceless photos like this one!
Congrats again to Emil for this great photo!!!

A Storm To Remember!!

David and Renee Clauson were married in our lovely Magnolia Chapel on a lovely afternoon in January! David and Renee had quite an amazing story of how they met, being from Texas they are used to alot of strange storms, huuricanes, flooding etc., but one particular storm the power was out and Renee and her child were sitting in the dark. Renee's child happened to have a best friend that lived in the neighborhood and they decided to go to the neighbors house to wait out the storm with a little more supplies at hand. It was then in the candlelight that David had met Renee, they talked, they clicked, fell in love and several months later they came to our Chapel Of The Flowers to celebrate their love in marriage! We love it when couples share their stories of how they met, especially the unique ones! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Clauson!

Mr & Mrs Fahmi

Tuesday night we had the pleasure of working with Tamer & Janet Fahmi. They were in Vegas celibrating their 25th aniversary!!! You could tell that they were in love just as much as the first time they walked down the aisle. In all my time of doing renewals I have never seen 2 more happy!

When they arrived Tamer told Janet that he bought her a new ring. She loved it!!! They also brought with them a silk flower from her original bouquet so we added it to Tamers bout.

The ceremony went great and the couple was very happy! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Fahmi and we hope there are many more enjoyable years to come!!!

I do and a kangaroo.....

So.....on New Year's Eve as I'm coordinating in the Magnolia Chapel I get a call from one of our lovely wedding planners, she says that the groom is here with his groomsmen and a kangaroo with a bowtie on?!!! WHAT?? I never got the kangaroo's name but he was kind enough to be a witness for the ceremony. One thing I've learned about being a member of the Chapel of the Flowers team is that you never know who will show up!

MEMORABLE GIFTS

Hello Everyone!
It has been awhile since I blogged last and with great excitment I wanted to share a very special family with you. Tim and Ashlea were married on December 28th, 2009. Now little did they know that Josephine (the brides mother) was already planning a SURPRISE reception for them. So the planning was on... together Courtney (the couples wedding planner) and I contacted our Bakery, arranged the flowers, and notified pretty much everyone here that this was a SURPRISE. Now I have to admit when I woke up that morning I was overwhelmed with excitement, I love surprises! So when the limo pulled up it was all I could do to contain my excitement. After the couples ceremony they started their photo shoot with Megan. Josephine and I met and she was able to see the reception area and I could tell by the look in her eye that she was so pleased with the flower walkway leading into the cake table, the head table was decorated with fresh petals and bubbles and bells. The only request Josephine had was could I make it warmer because wouldn’t you know it the weather was a bit chilly that day. The weather was not going to damper this celebration. The couple soon arrived with Megan and the smiles were amazing. We pulled it off, they had no idea that their Mother had secretly organized a reception in their honor.
I have the pleasure of seeing things from the coordinators perspective. Did we execute everything as planned? Yes! But more importantly...what did we really deliver? The entire staff delivered a wedding that was "Intimate. Elegant. Legendary."
And importantly Tim and Ashlea and Josephine are a loving family, and together with a little help from their friends at Chapel of the Flowers their wedding day is filled with many happy timeless memories.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of one of the most important days of your lives. Congratulations as you start your life as Mr. and Mrs. Davis!
